Germany is a country with a rich cultural and artistic tradition. German artists produce art and develop the rich German culture. Visitors to the German pavilion (Pavilion 13) will have the opportunity to enjoy traditional German music from Reißnerband, a ten-member band from Bavaria, as well as musicians like jazz musician Christian Ronig and artist Felix Leopold, who engage with Greek music by translating songs into German and setting poems to music, respectively.
Sunday, September 8th
There will be a parade of 10 legendary Volkswagen Beetle cars organized by the Thessaloniki Beetle Club. Visitors will have the opportunity to see and admire the cars up close.
Monday, September 9th
The Bananafishbones, a German Indie-Rock band known for creating music for many films and having sold-out concerts, will perform on the main stage of the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF). The program will be followed by a DJ set featuring the German artist The Micronaut and the Greek artist Kiki Botonaki, blending the musical cultures of the two nations within the framework of electronic music.
Additionally, on Monday, the stage at Pavilion 13 will host the orchestra and youth choir of the Angelini Hatzinikou Foundation and the “New Music Leipzig” Music School, created as part of an exchange program funded by the Greek-German Youth Foundation.
Wednesday, September 11th
In the outdoor area of Pavilion 13, there will be an aerial performance on ropes and fabrics themed: “Wandering the Streets of Berlin.” In the same area, throughout the duration of the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), there will be creative activities for children, youth, and brave adults with balance games and juggling.
At the same time, on the same day, as part of the cultural program, there will be an event - a guided tour at the Evangelical Church Cemetery, where personalities of the city related to its historical memory will be presented.
Thursday, September 12th
The Munich Supercrew, who have created music pieces in simple German to promote the learning of the German language, will perform on the stage of the German pavilion. Before their concert, there will be an educational seminar for German language teachers, sharing new methods of language learning, as well as a warm-up seminar for children to enhance their participation in the interactive concert that will follow.

On September 7th, 8th, 12th, and 14th, there will be a stilt walker inviting visitors to the stage of Pavilion 13. Throughout the duration of the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), there will be a photobooth for taking group photos and a badge-making machine where pavilion visitors can create their own personalized badges.
From September 11th to 15th, there will be 5 performances of the play “LUNA: Theater on the Bus” by Rika Benveniste, directed by Damianos Konstantinidis.
This is a production by Angelus Novus, organized by Electra Social Company in collaboration with KTEL Thessaloniki S.A., the Vafopoulio Cultural Center, and the Municipality of Thessaloniki. The route will start from the Vafopoulio Cultural Center. The production is financially supported by the Greek-German Future Fund. The performances on the above dates will take place as part of the cultural program of the German Consulate General.
