Honored Country JAPAN

Pavilion 13

Participation and Presence

Japan, the Honoured Country of this year’s Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), is preparing a distinguished presence at Pavilion 13 of the Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Congress Center. Through a contemporary and multifaceted exhibition environment, it will showcase to visitors its achievements, values, and unique identity, highlighting the seamless connection between tradition and innovation. Its participation aims to offer a comprehensive experience of Japan’s culture, technology, entrepreneurship, and creative expression—hallmarks of the Land of the Rising Sun.

The Takumi Philosophy

The Greek and international audience of this year’s TIF will have the opportunity to explore the unique Japanese “universe” through the philosophy of Takumi (Ta-ku-mi, meaning master or artisan in Japanese), which embodies the concepts of wisdom, empathy, and driving force, passed down from generation to generation. Takumi does not simply refer to the practice of a profession, but to a lifelong dedication to the perfection of a craft. It is rooted in expertise, precision, attention to detail, and human-centered design—values that form the foundation of Japanese culture and are internationally recognized as benchmarks of quality and excellence.

Business and Institutional Participation

The coordination of Japan’s participation has been undertaken by the Embassy of Japan in Greece, which will support presentation of a broad spectrum of Japanese companies and organizations. Aiming to further deepen the political, economic, and business relations between the two countries. Participation will cover dynamic sectors such as tourism, infrastructure, technology, and innovation, automotive, energy, as well as healthcare, highlighting the country’s multifaceted business identity.
