The 89th TIF draws large crowds from the very first weekend
Light Drone Shows, concerts, technology and activities for all ages at the grand celebration of TIF
Visitors to the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair will have the opportunity tonight at 21:00 to enjoy an impressive Light Drone Show illuminating the sky above the exhibition. The memory of past fireworks meets modern technology in a tribute to the 100 years of TIF-HELEXPO. The best viewing spot for the Light Drone Show is at the YMCA Arch. Today, the musical stages of the Fair also come to life with both the Music Events Live and the Youth Band Battle – Stage Z.
As part of the Music Events Live, Lena Zevgara and Alcatrash will take the central stage of the 89th TIF at the YMCA Arch at 21:30. Visitors can attend the concerts for free with their exhibition entry ticket.
Today also marks the start of the Youth Band Battle – Stage Z, the music competition for youth bands from across Greece, taking place in the outdoor area between Pavilions 9 & 13 and entertaining visitors from 19:00 to 21:30. With the aim of showcasing new musical talent, TIF-HELEXPO, in collaboration with the record label Fine Records and with ERT3 as communication sponsor, organized a music competition specifically for Generation Z, giving young bands from all over Greece the opportunity to highlight their unique sound and gain professional prospects.
Meanwhile, JuniorLand has also opened today for the young friends of TIF, starting with face painting from 18:00 to 19:00 and followed by the theatrical performance "Fairytale Salad" from 19:00 to 20:00 in the outdoor area “TIF Gardens.” JuniorLand is a broad thematic and interactive tribute to children and families, adding an element of joy to this year’s Fair. It offers a comprehensive program of activities designed to create a unique family experience, with a focus on entertainment, learning, and creative expression.
Throughout the day, the Treasure Hunt will also be underway, dedicated this year to the 100th anniversary of TIF-HELEXPO. Visitors of the 89th TIF can explore the history of the institution by scanning QR codes and participating in a major prize draw with generous rewards.
Participants register through the Treasure Hunt mobile app. They must find the 10 main stops of the anniversary tribute “100 Years of TIF-HELEXPO,” scan the QR codes at each station, and complete their journey through time to enter the draw.
Today’s opening hours for the 89th TIF are from 10:00 to 22:00. On weekdays, the Fair is open from 16:00 to 22:00.
