Technology, Innovation, and Artificial Intelligence take center stage at the 89th TIF
New technologies, research, and Artificial Intelligence are prominently featured at the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair, which continues its longstanding tradition of presenting the most innovative ideas and solutions.
At the heart of Pavilion 12, which hosts the Ministry of Digital Governance and the Greece of gov.gr, stands the simulation of the supercomputer “DAEDALUS” and the “PHAROS” AI FACTORY. “DAEDALUS” is the core of the “PHAROS” AI FACTORY, which will provide computing power, data, and expertise to startups, universities, and research centers to develop Artificial Intelligence applications. In addition, technological measures for Road Safety are presented interactively. Specifically, a camera records violations in real-time, such as not wearing a seatbelt and using a mobile phone while driving, highlighting the role of technology in protecting human life. At the same time, visitors can tour specially designed booths showcasing flagship projects and services of the Ministry. Innovative startups are also hosted in the same pavilion.
In Pavilion 17, under the theme “Technology–Research–Innovation,” startups engaged in innovation and research are showcased, providing new solutions or products in various fields (green technology, healthcare solutions, education through technology, etc.), along with research institutes conducting work in the fields of new technologies, science, engineering, biotechnology, and other related areas.
Also in the same pavilion, the {Re}Solve Hackathon highlights the dynamic combination of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain for solutions with tangible social and business impact. It welcomes onsite teams during the 89th TIF, as well as online participants from Dubai, India, and Athens, strengthening the international dimension and connecting the Greek tech community with the global innovation ecosystem.
At Pavilion 7, a total of 20 startups registered with Elevate Greece, along with research centers such as CERTH (Centre for Research and Technology Hellas), are presenting their innovative solutions and applications.
